Dialogue Minister Edita Tahiri held a farewell meeting with Germany'sAmbassador to Kosovo, Angelika Viets, who is already concluding her diplomatic missionin Kosovo.


Minister Tahiri highly praised the excellent relations between Kosovoand Germany and expressed gratitude to German Ambassador Viets for her greatcontribution to deepening relations and comprehensive co-operation between thetwo states. She said that the Kosovo Government highly appreciates Germany'scontinued support for strengthening Kosovo and advancing the Euro-Atlanticintegration of our country. She also stressed that Germany's role has been veryimportant in the process of neighbourhood dialogue in Brussels because it haspushed this process into important moments for the benefit of peace andstability in the region.


Ambassador Angelika Viets thanked Minister Tahiri forthe invitation for a farewell lunch, saying that she was satisfied that shecould help strengthen the relations between the two countries and that she ishappy that Kosovo has signed the Stabilization and Association Agreement withthe EU in this period, while hoping the new institutions to be established assoon as possible, saying that Kosovo needs a stable and European government.Ambassador Viets also praised Kosovo's engagement in the Brussels dialogue,saying this dialogue is important because it serves the peace, neighbourhoodand Euro-Atlantic integrations that are the goals of the state of Kosovo.
