Prime Minister Mustafa, the government committed to the functioning of health insurance

Prime Minister of Republic of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, has held the regular meeting with representatives of government departments and international donors involved in preparations for the start of the application of the public health insurance system.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Switzerland, the World Bank representatives, the Ministry of Health, of Public Administration, as well as representatives of other national and international mechanisms.
During the meeting, it was discussed about activities carried out related to the beginning of premiums collection for preparations for the recruitment of staff for the Health Insurance Fund, the finalization of the draft law on amending and supplementing the Law on Health Insurance and administrative instructions that define the criteria for exemption from paying premiums, for the list of basic health care services and other aspects relating to informing citizens about health insurance.
Prime Minister Isa Mustafa expressed the commitment of the Government to start the application of health insurance seeking maximum commitment to addressing all issues related to this major reform in the health sector in Kosovo.
Institutional representatives noted the work being done at the completion of all aspects related to the functioning, within set limits, of health insurance.
