Prime Minister Thaçi meets the Foreign Minister of Grenada, Nickolas Steele – he officially accepts recognition of Kosovo by Grenada

Today, in New York, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, met the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Grenada, Nickolas Steele and accepted official recognition of Kosovo by Grenada.
 
During the meeting they talked about recent developments in their countries and areas in which they can cooperate.
 
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi thanked the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Grenada, Nickolas Steele, on behalf of the Government and people of Kosovo for Grenada’s recognition of Kosovo.
 
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Grenada, Nickolas Steele, said that small states like Grenada and Kosovo need as many friends as possible.
 
Foreign Minister Steele said that it is our pleasure to be the 102nd state to recognize the Republic of Kosovo, as well as the latest country making Kosovo recognized by the majority of CARICOM countries.
 
During the meeting, Prime Minister Thaçi and Foreign Minister Steele formally signed the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations between the two countries.
